Perfect 3 Day Rome Itinerary
Three days is enough to fall in love with Rome. The key is to balance major sights, good food, and time to simply enjoy the city.
Day 1: Ancient Rome and the historic center
Start with the Colosseum area, then continue toward the Roman Forum surroundings and the central streets. Later in the day, enjoy the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon area, and a relaxed dinner in the center.
Day 2: Vatican and elegant Rome
Dedicate the morning to the Vatican side of the city. After lunch, stroll toward Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Navona, and some of the surrounding streets and piazzas.
Day 3: Trastevere and local atmosphere
Use your third day for a slower experience. Explore Trastevere, taste local specialties, and enjoy a food-focused afternoon or evening.
Tips for making the most of three days
